fight

I’m like my grandma: short, but I stand tall, playing every card that’s been dealt to me. Some days are aces and some days are faces, some days are twos and threes.

kind words

On Friday, I filled in my friend Lauren over at the company she is interning. I was also then filling in for their assistant. This morning I got this email from Matt, the assistant who’s phones I covered:

Yo Emily!

Thank you so much for covering on Friday for me, I hope that it all went smoothly on your end. Everyone in the office had nothing but praise for you— you were fun to have around and a great on the desk. So thank you for holding down the fort.
If we can make it work with your available days, would you be interested in interning over here once or twice a week until you find a job? If you’re interested, the offer definitely stands— Lauren said she would even be willing to move some days around to make them work for you. But it’s completely up to you.
Would you let me know as soon as you’ve had a chance to think it over? Regardless, thanks for your help!
Matt
I’m just mostly glad that the execs had nice things to say. As I was leaving, one gave me her card and told me to let them know what they could do for me. Making contacts, woowhoo!

let’s hear it for love, y’all.

you know? yeah.

bruno!

While I had literally nothing to do with the creative process of this film, I am very happy to be working for the people behind it. Can’t wait!
